Biltmore Forest

Biltmore Forest is one of Asheville’s oldest communities established in 1923  and was created when Mrs. Vanderbilt sold 1,600 acres of the Biltmore Estate to establish a neighborhood with large lots and modern amenities.  The architect of the community was Frederick Law Olmsted and later the private Biltmore Forest Country Club was built with a Donald Ross designed 18 hole golf course.  The community is known as one of wealthiest towns in the country and offers some of the largest and most expensive homes in Western North Carolina.
